On September 11, 2022 “The Stanley Kawecki Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament”, was held at the Northfield Golf Club. The Knights of Columbus Council 15197 has held this annual event since 2016 (with exception during 2 years of COVID), to raise money for “The Stanley Kawecki Memorial Scholarship”. In memory of our Grand Knight Stanley Kawecki, this scholarship is awarded to selected graduating high school seniors who are Catholics of good standing; it has successfully provided over $6,000 in financial aid.
The fund raiser was incredibly successful, selling out all 28 golf openings! Thanks to Northfield Golf Club and Kathleen Tomaus Catering, participants and volunteers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, sides and door prizes. To top the day off, all cash prize recipients who won various golf day activities such as the longest drive on a select hole, donated their winnings to the scholarship!
