Pastor’s Corner

+JMJ+
Dear Friends,
As was announced this past weekend...

Fr. Frank has received his new assignment. Bishop has named him the temporary administrator of Our Lady of the Valley in Sheffield, MA. By taking on this new role, Fr. Frank is on his way to becoming a pastor. He has been a great help during this past year and we wish him well. Please join us on Sunday May 22nd following the 10:30am Mass to bid him farewell and wish him well in his new assignment.

A new pastor has been named for Holy Family: Fr. David Aufiero. Fr. Dave was ordained in 2013 and attended St. John's Seminary in Boston. He is currently the pastor at Holy Name in Springfield - where I will be going. Fr. Dave is coming off of a brief medical leave and needed a change of scenery. He is a good priest and trusted friend. I know that he will do well here at Holy Family because he will help maintain the good things we have done and continue to keep the spirit alive. Please pray for him as he begins to transition to Deerfield.

I know change is difficult. It is for you and for the priests that have to move - which is perhaps a bit more challenging if you think about... new parish, new people, new landscape. So, please pray for us priests that we will be at peace and transition smoothly in our new locations and roles of service to God's people.
God bless you,
Fr. Jon
