Pastor’s Corner

+JMJ+
Dear Friends,
Summerfest is happening! The planning committee has been meeting and making plans. If you would like to contribute to the event, here are some ways in which you could do that.

There will be four gift baskets to be raffled off with the following themes

  • Family fun basket- you could contribute monetarily for the purchase of items for the basket, or items such as puzzles, pizza kit for family pizza night, paint by number kits, card games, tabletop games, gift certificates to the movie theater, gift certificates to an ice cream stand, etc.
  • Local business basket- donate monetarily for help with purchasing items for the basket, ask a local business you regularity do business with for a gift certificate, donation, cash donations, purchase and donate an item from a local business, etc.
  • Picnic at the park basket- cash donation to help with purchase of items, gift certificate to local area parks (Look Park), picnic table cloths, picnic “silverware”, plates, glasses, beverage containers, picnic basket, umbrella, lawn chairs, blanket, etc.
  • Local brew basket- monetary donation, beer mugs and glasses, “swag” from local breweries, “game day” snacks and munchies, etc.
These are just a few suggestions for donations. Feel free to decide on something you do not see in the suggestions. All we ask is that any item donated is new and unused.

Summerfest has been a great event in the past, and the planning committee and I hope to see you there. It is really a fun community day. What better way to see all the smiling faces you have missed during the last year.

Any money made during the event will be used to offset the cost for next year’s Summerfest.
God Bless,
Fr. Jon
