Pastor’s Corner

Dear Friends,
This pastor’s corner may seem a little redundant. But I am extremely excited to share some of the happenings in our Parish and in or Diocese. This week is Catholic Schools week, where we turn our attention and prayer over to those involved in Catholic Education. Our education in the faith does not stop when we graduate but is a lifelong process. Here are some great ways we can journey together in our faith.
  1. Bible Study: Starting this Tuesday January 24 for the next twelve weeks, there will be a Bible Study from 6:30pm- 7:30pm in the parish center. It is a digital Bible study run by FOCUS, featuring Dr. Ed Sri and Curtis Martin and they will go through Salvation History. It is pretty neat, don’t miss it! It is also important to note that Dr. Sri will be a Keynote Speaker at our Diocesan Eucharistic Congress, held on March 4. He has a lot of insight, worked closely with people of all ages and is a solid family man with nine children.
  2. Eucharistic Panel Discussion: On February 15, there will be a Eucharistic Panel held by members of the Year of the Eucharist Committee. The members of our panel will feature Fr. Barrent Pease and Fr. Ryan Sliwa who were both seminarians in this parish. Come watch how they grew up and speak and answer questions about the Eucharist. We will start the evening with an inspiring witness from Deacon Michael Forrest about a miracle he had through the Eucharist, followed by discussion and thirty minutes of adoration. Other panelist are Luke Holwedell from St. Mary’s and Dr. Margaret Hughes, a professor of Philosophy from Thomas Aquinas College. We are all excited to host this event!
  3. Eucharistic Congress: Please do not forget to register for the Eucharistic Congress. The Eucharistic Congress will be an historical event in our Church. Throughout the centuries, Eucharistic Congresses were held in order to help boost the faith of the people. More information is on our website https://catholiclifeconference.org/.
Blessings to you and your families!

Sincerely Yours,
Fr. David Aufiero
