Last week I spoke about the benefits or the value of Eucharistic Adoration. They are as follows: Peace, Healing, and Rest. I cannot begin to tell you how many people I speak to who tell me how chaotic their lives are and yet when they walk into the church, an overwhelming sense of peace fills their hearts and minds. At times, I think we tend to convince ourselves that we are too busy to stop in, even for just 10 minutes. We convince ourselves that we don't know what to do or what to say. And of course, we tell ourselves that we cannot commit to a 30 minute time period once/week. For these reasons, we stay away. Friends, I want to tell you that this is the work of the devil. Satan, the prince of darkness, gets into our heads and tells us all sorts of lies in order to keep us from drawing closer to God. Stop believing the LIES and start PRAYING through them. All it takes is that first time you make the choice to stop in for a few minutes during the day and God will take it from there. So, here are a few questions to ponder in order to help get you started:

- How many times during the day do you drive by the church or the adoration chapel in Greenfield or the Newman Center at UMass?
- Could you leave 10 minutes earlier in order to make a visit?
- Has someone asked you to pray for them? Do you know someone who just needs a prayer? (You can always stop in and pray for vocations to the priesthood!)
Next, if I have convinced you that you can definitely take time and pray in church, now you might ask: what do I do? Simple: read the Mass readings, pray the rosary, the stations of the Cross, pray from your heart - for your family, friends, co-workers, teammates, talk to God about the things weighing on your heart and need guidance... or be still and silent and let Him speak to you.

Truthfully, I have seen MIRACLES happen in people's lives because they spend time in adoration. I have witnessed physical healings! I have received so many graces in my own life because I give God time each day to pray, to thank Him, to ask for mercy and guidance ... and He never disappoints. Remember that we have Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesdays from 12pm-6pm, with confessions at 5pm and Benediction at 6pm. The church is also open during the day Mon-Fri 7am-6pm; Sat 8am-5pm and Sunday 7am-4pm. There is no better time to start than by stopping in ... pray, listen, and allow God to powerfully change your life through this simple discipline!

Daily Mass is now offered Monday-Friday at 8am and on Saturday at 9am.

Fr. Frank will be hosting monthly talks on various topics regarding the Catholic faith. The first will take place on Thursday May 27th at 6:30pm in the parish hall. The topic will be "Sin and Confession". All are welcome.
